Coverage

Crown Silk Emulsion covers approximately 14 square metres per litre, depending on the surface texture and porosity. A 7.5L tub provides up to 105m² of coverage under normal conditions. When using more than one tin in the same area, intermix before use for a consistent finish.

Preparation

Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, or flaking paint. On previously unpainted or porous surfaces, seal with a suitable primer or diluted emulsion (up to 10% water). For glossy surfaces, lightly sand and wipe clean before painting. Use a face mask when dry sanding.

Application

• Stir thoroughly before use.
• For very absorbent surfaces, a small amount of clean water can be added.
• Apply using a brush, roller, or spray.
• Apply evenly and avoid over-spreading.
• Recoat after 2–4 hours if required.
• Do not apply in temperatures below 10°C.

Cleaning

Remove excess paint from tools before cleaning. Wash all equipment with warm, soapy water immediately after use. Close the lid tightly after use. Do not pour waste paint into drains or watercourses. Follow local disposal regulations.
