Warehouse Dispatch Controller

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Dispatch Controller to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate dispatch of goods from our warehouse. The Warehouse Dispatch Controller will be responsible for overseeing the entire dispatch process, coordinating with various warehouse picking team and e-commerce manager, and ensuring that orders are delivered on time while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate the dispatch of goods, ensuring all orders are accurately picked, packed, and labelled for shipment.
• Create daily schedules for dispatch personnel and delivery drivers, optimising routes for efficiency and on-time deliveries.
• Conduct quality checks on outbound orders to ensure they meet company standards and customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstock situations, and report discrepancies to the appropriate parties.
• Liaise with internal departments, such as the warehouse team, customer service, and logistics, to ensure seamless operations and effective problem resolution.
• Ensure that all dispatch activities adhere to safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment.
• Keep detailed records of dispatched orders, delivery schedules, and any incidents or delays, and provide regular reports to management.
• Address customer inquiries, concerns, and delivery issues promptly and professionally, striving to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Identify areas for process improvement within the dispatch department and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
• Proven experience in warehouse operations or dispatch, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in using inventory management and dispatch software such as Linnworks.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse and transportation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license may be required, depending on the company's needs.
